Purchased this for my front porch to take the edge off on a cool fall or early spring evening (it was fine in 5 Celsius temps). It does exactly that. I’ve tested it in minus 15 Celsius and I still feel the heat, but don’t expect it to warm you up. Yes, it is very “red” at night but that doesn’t bother us or our neighbours from what I have heard. For the price I think this is a very solid unit.

Works great and is a really nice size, not dominating our deck, I put directly above outdoor sofa about 2.4m from ground. Takes the edge of cold for two of us underneath. Doesnt make us hot but makes us warm enough that sitting outside is really comfortable. I don't think ig it's much further away it will give enough great. Works perfectly for us!

This is smaller than the commercial heaters you see in a restaurant, but still gives a nice amount of heat. The key to maximizing it's effectiveness is to have at least some partial enclosure on the patio We have a pergola which helps a bit, but with a Fabric roof cover, or even 1 or 2 sides that had a fabric or vinyl "drape" would make this unit super effective. I'll be adding one or both of those things for next winter. (In California, so "winter" is a relative word). Even as is, it takes enough of the evening chill away to make the patio useable in the spring

The size of the heater is small and the weight is average. When I first got it, its size made me wonder whether it had enough power. Its installation is very simple and easy. I installed it in the garage so that I can still work in the garage in cold weather. After the installation was completed, I tried it. It was really the same as the introduction. The power is great.
